Gordon W. Steadman
Vice President, Development
Appointed Vice President of Development in 2006, Gordon joined Elkins in 2000 as the Director of Development.
He oversees business development and marketing activities and also is involved in conceptual project planning, client relations, public relations and strategic planning. He also serves as our company’s corporate information officer.
Gordon serves on the board of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' Northeast Florida chapter and is currently acting as the public relations chair for the chapter. He is the past president of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida’s First Coast chapter. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and also is active in the Society of Marketing Professional Services Business Development Institute and Jacksonville Community Council, Inc. Serving as a guest lecturer, Gordon has spoken on marketing construction services at the University of North Florida's College of Computing, Engineering and Construction.
Prior to joining Elkins, he spent 16 years in the construction materials industry, holding various positions in sales, marketing and management.
A Jacksonville native, Gordon attended Robert E. Lee High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Valdosta State University, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Alumni Association. He completed the Executive Education Program at University of Pennsylvania’s The Wharton School. He also has completed programs with FMI Management Consulting, and Sales Growth Dynamic and Construction Management At-Risk training conducted by Roebuck Consulting Group.
