Elkins Constructors, Inc. Awarded New Elementary School Project in North Charleston
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - Elkins Constructors, Inc. was awarded the construction contract for a new $13.3 million elementary school in North Charleston, SC.
Elkins will begin construction on the new McKewn Elementary School later this month. The project, for Dorchester School District Two, will be 103,000 SF and have load bearing block walls with brick veneer. The project is being built on a 24-acre site, and will be completed in late Spring 2011 to accommodate students for the 2011-2012 school year. LS3P Associates LTD out of Charleston, SC is the architect.
