Elkins Constructors, Inc. Completes New Senior Living Facility
Viera, FL — Elkins Constructors, Inc. recently completed construction of the new $30 million master-planned, full-service retirement community in Viera, FL. The 206,000 square foot Watersong Senior Living Community opened May 12. It features 96 condominium-style villas, 24 assisted-living apartments and 24 memory-care apartments.
Constructed of block and steel trusses, the campus also features a wellness center, pool and community dining facility. Designed by Triad Design Group, this is Elkins’ fifth project for Senior Living Communities. The company, headquartered in Charlotte, owns and operates ten premier retirement communities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
At the grand opening Donald Thompson, CEO of Senior Living Communities, thanked Elkins Constructors for a successful project.

Several features of Watersong separate the retirement community from others in the area. These include the ability of both independent and assisted living residents to bring pets, onsite therapy provided by Genesis Rehab services, and the opportunity to participate in a holistic wellness program designed to keep residents living independently for longer. Plus, the community has its own home health care company, Live Long WellCare.
