About

In the Heart of Downtown Savannah

Since Martin Elkins founded the company more than a half-century ago, it has grown to more than 120 employees. Today, Elkins is led by Barry L. Allred and a group of employee shareholders whose personal and vested interest in our success is reflected in the success of our clients. Together, we continue the Elkins tradition of providing clients with the level of expertise, service and performance that lets them return to us for future projects with absolute confidence.

In 2009, Elkins opened a Georgia office in downtown Savannah. The decision to establish a permanent address in Savannah represents an opportunity to bring our construction experience to a progressive metropolitan area.

We feel that Savannah is a great match for our corporate culture. The strategic growth of the city and state were also key factors in our decision to open a Georgia office,” said Welch, a Georgia native and Georgia Institute of Technology graduate.

Elkins has provided construction services in Georgia for many years. Some of Elkins’ most recent projects include a Troop Personnel Training Quarters for the Georgia Air National Guard based in Savannah, Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe Production and Distribution Facility in Valdosta, Echols County K-8 School in Statenville, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in St. Mary’s and Wal-Mart Supercenter in Grovetown.

Elkins Constructors, Inc., headquartered in Jacksonville, FL has provided construction management, design/build and general contracting services throughout the Southeastern United States since 1955. Read more about Elkins on our corporate website.
